Do you remember Jim Jones-Leader of the Peoples Temple and the Jonestown mass suicides? This unbelievable mass murder-suicide of over 900 individuals happened on November 18, 1978. This cult was originally formed in Indianapolis, Indiana my hometown in the 1950’s; I cannot even imagine life in this cult or any cult. This was a religious cult that eventually moved to Guyana and set-up what was known as “Jonestown”. Such a tragedy, over 270 children died that day at the direction of their leader to drink the Kool-Aid. This is such a sad day in our history💔.
