Speaking of Buffalo Plaid and the Farmhouse Style

I love “Farmhouse Style” as much as I love “Buffalo Plaid”. When you think of “Farmhouse Style” you might go right to Chip and Joanna Gaines with “Fixer Upper”. Actually, the farmhouse style came for the original simple farmhouse build in Europe during the 16th and 17th centuries. The farmhouses then were made with simple materials, style, and of course on farms.

Today, “Farmhouse Style” is simple designs shiplap, homemade, and not necessarily on a farm. The “farmhouse sink” is used in many new homes where the kitchen is the main focus of the house.

The “Farmhouse Style” I believe is here to stay, along with the buffalo plaids and plaids in general. It is sort of nice to get back to simple fashions!
