Why yes, vintage and retro fashions are unquestionably different. Many, many people use these terms interchangeably for sure. But they do not actually mean the same thing.
Vintage is a term used for items that were made at least 20-25 years ago. That older look in current times.
Retro is an item or items made currently or recently to reflect something much, much older.
